NY Transits Eliminates Cash For Subway Fares Was Predicted 2020. Are Buses Next?

Well, Well, Well, once again this conspiracy theorist was right again.  I hate to say “I TOLD YOU SO.”  Some will say “It was a lucky guess.”  Last year sometime in March 2020 during the beginning stage of the Pandemic Lockdown, I posted New York City Transit will “temporarily” discontinue accepting cash at The Booths due to the fear of Covid-19.  TEMPORARY?  Well, I knew that was all bullsh*t.  I predicted it would be permanent.

Fast Forward 14 months, today according to ABC News NY, The MTA stated booth workers will no longer accept riders’ cash or swap.  Oh come on NYC Transit, do your workers still fear the Covid-19 virus and don’t want to touch cash?  Are they still in fear in spite of the covid-19 numbers decreasing and 60% of New Yorkers have been fully vaccinated?  What is your excuse now NYC Transit?

Cash will still be accepted at the subway stations but on the Kiosk vending machines only.   Will this be TEMPORARY?  Hmm.  I have more conspiracy theories for you or predictions if you will.

MY NEXT PREDICTION  #1 – BYE BYE TRANSIT BOOTH WORKERS.  YOUR SERVICES WILL NO LONGER BE NEEDED.

Transit Booth Workers will be like yesterdays’ Toll Collectors and bank tellers, almost nonexistent.  Transit Booth Workers not only count money and give change to customers but they also provide directions to customers including which train or bus to take.  With the technology we have today and rapidly advancing, do we really need a Transit Booth Worker?  You can download mobile apps and can easily get directions and it will inform you which buses or trains to take.  Oh heck, the apps can let you know you’re approaching your bus stop and to prepare to exit the bus or train.  So, do we really need Transit Booth Workers?  Perhaps to call 911 for emergencies but Transit Police can do that.  Just use the booth as a TRANSIT POLICE BOOTH.  Place two Transit Police Officers in every station booth.  How about it New York City?  Subway crime is skyrocketing in NYC.  I predict Transit Booth Worker jobs will be eliminated by 2023 if not sooner.  “Transit Booth Workers, you may want to start updating your resume.”

MY NEXT PREDICTION #2 – SAY GOODBYE TO THE METRO CARDS AND BUS PAPER TRANSFERS.  SAY HELLO TO THE OMNY SYSTEM.
NY Metro Cards will be like token coins, extinct like the dinosaurs.  Metro Cards are expensive to produce which is why NY Transit charges you $1.00 for a new Metro Card.  The Magnetic strip on these cards constantly get damaged and occasionally will not read on buses fare box and station turnstiles.  We need a technology that is efficient.

Say hello to the OMNY System and throw your magnetic Metro Cards away.  Most buses and train stations have the OMNY system installed and it’s fairly efficient.  Buses have them in the front entrance and in the back which will soon be used as an entrance as well.  Now think folks.  If you entered the bus from the back and scanned your credit card or mobile to pay your fare, are you going to walk to the front of the buss and ask the bus driver for a paper transfer to board the next bus or enter the subway station?  Of course not.  So where is your paper transfer?  It’s on your credit card or whatever source of payment you used to pay your fare (Google pay, Paypal), etc.  You just have to remember to use the same source of payment you used otherwise if use another form of payment, you will be charged another fare.  You still have 2-hours to use that electronic transfer.  I predict this is coming at the end of 2023 or sooner.

MY NEXT PREDICTION #3 – CASH IS GOING AWAY ON THE BUSES SOON
We believed NY Transit that cash was going to return at the booth and it was bullsh*t.  Do you think they will eliminate cash on the buses as well?  It would be pretty scary if NY Transit eliminates cash on the buses and make all fares electronic at this time.  Citizens will become nervous.  I believe NY Transit will wait for awhile making all fares electronic; then again, it can happen sooner than expected.  It's possible Transit will wait until they have enough OMNY users and they will pull the plug on cash and the metro cards.  Why do I think this?  Well, here are some of my reasons,

1.   EVERYONE WILL PAY THE FULL FARE OR HALF FARE FOR SENIORS
Let's face it folk, how many of you cheated Transit by not paying the full fare?  The farebox can actually count how much change you entered in the box however, will the bus driver address that you’re a few cents short of your bus fare?  Probably not.  He or she will not start an argument for a few cents.  However, you are cheating the city.  We’ve all done it. LOL.

Well, the party is over.  By eliminating cash on the buses, with electronic fares you cannot cheat the system.  NY Transit will automatically take the riders’ full or half fare right out of their bank account in real-time.  The only way to cheat transit would be not to scan your credit card or mobile on the bus or turnstile on the subway station and evade the fare.  This will end soon in the near future when a new technology emerges that will scan everyone automatically when they enter buses and trains.  I’m working on a video on how this system and technology will look like.

2.   BYE BYE TRANSIT WORKERS WHO COUNT THE MONEY AND THOSE WHO VACUUM THE FARE BOXES.
Have you ever wondered how a Transit company counts all that change from every bus in the city that riders paid?  Sure they have machines that count all that change, but do you know the process how it's done?  Transit workers take a hose that looks like a fire hose and they connect it to the farebox.  Through a vacuum system, they extract or suck the money out from the farebox into a counting machine.  The worker then prepares a report on how much money was generated from each bus they were assigned to.  And finally, the transit worker places the money in Money bags for the amour trucks to pick up and deliver to the banks.

This was just a short version but there is more to it.  Is there a better system that can count the money in seconds?  Yes buttercup.  By eliminating cash from all buses in NYC, the transit worker all has to do is push a button in his/her office computer and in seconds they will know how much each bus generated in fares.  No vaccuming the money necessary, no amour trucks needed to deliver the money to the bank.  The money is in the bank when the rider paid the fare.  Transit only needs one or two workers to push the button and in seconds they have all the information they need.  Isn’t this cashless system awesome?

Hey, what if you don’t have a contactless credit card?  How will you pay for your fare?  Oh my buttercup, just apply for one with your bank.  Just make sure it has the New World Order, I mean excuse me, make sure it has the microchip on it.  Every credit card will have a microchip.
